What Speak4Me users say
Speak4Me is well rated on the App Store. Complaints focus on its subscription pricing and tiers.
What they love
- Lots of voices. 120+ AI voices across 20+ languages, including voice cloning.
- Reads many formats. PDFs, documents and web articles, at speeds up to 2x reading pace.
- ChatWithMe. Ask questions about an uploaded file and get an AI summary read aloud.
- Free for schools. Speak4Me says it’s free for school use.
What they complain about
- Confusing pricing. Weekly, yearly and an "Ultra" tier are listed at different prices across sources — worth checking in-app before buying.
- Subscription, not one-time. Weekly and yearly plans auto-renew like most iOS apps.
- Apple only. iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision — no Android, Windows or Chrome.
- Free tier is limited. Most voices and features need Pro or Ultra.
Rating from the Apple App Store (4.5, 14K ratings), checked 18 Oct 2026. Pricing cross-checked against independent app-review sites since Speak4Me’s own site doesn’t list tiers; figures are given as ranges where sources differ.
