What WordQ users say

WordQ has a small but loyal following. Its Trustpilot page has only 3 reviews, all 5-star, praising long-term reliability and support; the main drawbacks come from its own store pages.

Trustpilot (Quillsoft)

What they love

  • Word prediction. Suggests words as you type, even when spelling is creative — the reason most people buy it.
  • Speech feedback while writing. Reads back what you type with word-by-word highlighting, plus selected text on websites.
  • Works offline. After activation it runs without an internet connection, in desktop apps and web apps like Office 365 and Google Docs.
  • Long-standing support. Trustpilot reviewers mention using it for around 20 years and describe support as quick and responsive.

What they complain about

  • A yearly subscription. WordQ 6 is a 1-year licence from CA$119 (store page), not a one-time purchase.
  • Not for every Windows PC. Quillsoft says Windows 10S and 11S are not supported.
  • Old Chrome apps retired. The original WordQ Chrome apps stopped working after January 2025; the newer Chrome version needs a new licence.
  • Two languages. The Mac version includes English and French vocabularies and voices only.
